Petzl Nomic Ice Tool – Ice Tool

The NOMIC Ice Tool was designed with a focus on ice climbing – the steep icefalls of Kandersteg is where this ice tool belongs! The ergonomically shaped handle can be adjusted to your individual hand size and/or thickness of your gloves. Plus, it allows for several different hand positions. The upper handle is wrapped with tape, so that you can keep your grip when changing hands
. The lower part of the hand rest has a serrated stainless steel point that improves support when used in hard frozen, steep snow fields and ice. The modular head allows you to adjust the Nomic so that it suits your needs. The optional pick weights serve to propel the pick in the ice. Without the weights, the ice tool is lighter and can also be used for drytooling. If you equip the ice tool with a hammer (not included), you can use it to hammer in pitons. The Nomic is true specialist for tough ice climbs, but it works wonders in mixed and dry terrain as well thanks to the modular construction!
